Article: Seeds or Harvest 2

*Seeds or harvests? 2*
Is the seed different from the harvest?

1Kings 17:9
“Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.”

Vs. 12
“As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”

Seeds is a part of harvest like I stated in the first series, and that is their similarity but the difference between a seed and harvest is this, You need God’s leading in deciding the part of harvest you sow, and sometimes like in the case of this poor widow she planted all her harvest, it looks foolish huh?

If you don’t understand God’s dealings with people you will always make a mistake of labelling wise people foolish, like Zac Poonen rightly said,

“wisdom is always in the hidden part(foundation) of something”.

Harvest was never designed by God to be consumed in entirety but the purpose of Harvest is consumption and sowing

Luke 12:19-20

“And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’”

Don’t sow because you are motivated by anyone, but seek the face of God as you see needs.
